As a student pilot one of the first significant investments you make is a headset. When I began my training I had been using one of the headsets from the office at my school (as many flight schools always have a spare pair or two to rent). After doing a LOT of research online one headset kept coming up over and over.

So I decided to be like all the student pilots out there and buy it to see what all the fuss was about.

So this is my honest review of the David Clark H10-13.4 headsets.

Comfort/isolation: The headsets are made with ''comfort gel'' ear seals which don't retain sweat or warmth like the greater part of the leather-covered foam headsets. This material also makes these headsets more durable.

Sound quality: The sound quality is top level. I can’t complain at all about it.

Price range: The headsets are quite mid-range. They're a great investment as you'll be using them for a long time through your career.

Receiver: Universal flex boom for perfect microphone placement.

Configuration/design: The structure of the David Clark H10 is timeless.

Last thoughts: It’s difficult to go wrong with the David Clark H10- simply because they’re not that expensive and have legendary durability from one of the oldest names in the headset business.

They’re definitely a great investment for all pilots in every phase of their career.

Additional info:

All in all, I would say I’m quite pleased and have no complaints so far. I would rate the headsets 9/10 (because we can always leave room for improvement :D ).
